ABOUT THE TRIP
Our Vintage Travelers will enjoy the new original musical and global sensation that everyone is losing their head over, Six – The Musical! We will depart from the St. Dominic Toulouse Building parking lot in Jackson at 1:30PM this afternoon. Please eat lunch before departure!
As we make our way down to the Crescent City, we will break for dinner at Oceana Grill. Our group will enjoy a delicious New Orleans dinner buffet with all of your Cajun favorites, included in our tour today!
After our dinner, we will continue to downtown New Orleans and Canal Street, where we have reserved Orchestra seating at the beautiful Saenger Theatre, which has been thrilling audiences since 1927! Tonight, we will enjoy the 7:30PM evening performance! Six – The Musical is a global phenomenon that reimagines the six wives of Henry VIII as pop stars in a concert-style show, where they compete to tell their tragic stories before ultimately uniting to write their own "happily ever after". Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, the musical blends Tudor history with modern pop culture to create a euphoric celebration of female empowerment. The show won a Tony Award for Best Original Score, and it features catchy songs, elaborate costumes, and an all-female band called the "Ladies in Waiting". It’s a performance you will always remember!
After our show concludes, we will load our bus and depart New Orleans for our return trip to Jackson. We will make a snack stop en route, near McComb, and arrive back in Jackson around 12:00AM to end our memorable day.
